Seattle 100: Suite 410
A laid-back attitude contributes to the allure of this Belltown lounge

Though still in its infant stage, Suite 410—a Belltown lounge that opened just weeks ago—can’t be overlooked when discussing Seattle style. The space, featuring both vintage and contemporary cocktails as well as light fare, is located at Fourth Avenue and Stewart, but blink and you’ll miss it.

Discreetly tucked off the main drag, Suite 410 lacks blatant signage and—with its dimly lit interior—passersby hardly know it’s there. But those atypical business tactics are all intentional, according to owner Max Borthwick.

“We like it that way; it adds to the vibe of the place,” he says.

The ultra-hip interior consists of banquette seating coupled with low cocktail tables and sexy chrome stools that pull up to the bar, all complemented by dark-wood-paneled walls interspersed with strips of shimmering stainless steel.

Combine all that with a laid-back attitude and you have a place that will certainly become a Seattle classic.
